What to Do in Kartepe?

Kartepe is a district of Kocaeli, located at the summit of the Samanlı Mountains. Due to its location, it offers plenty of opportunities for enjoyable trips with its proximity to many coastal areas, such as İzmit Bay, Bahçecik Beach, Eşme Beach, Sapanca Lake, and Kandıra-Kefken.

Additionally, Kartepe, with its Ski Resort that plays a significant role in winter tourism, is an excellent place for skiers. The winter season in Kartepe usually starts at the end of December and continues until the end of February, depending on seasonal conditions.

Moreover, the surrounding plateaus, canyons, healing waters, unique forests rich in plant and wildlife, and the natural areas of Maşukiye make Kartepe a paradise for trekking and nature sports enthusiasts.

Kartepe is also one of Turkey's sports tourism centers, with its tennis courts, volleyball fields, international FIFA-standard grass football pitches, indoor sports halls hosting international competitions, sailing clubs, and equestrian sports clubs.

Kefken is located on the borders of Kocaeli and Kandıra district. Our hotel is 48 km away from Kandıra and 66 km away from Kefken, and is a place that draws attention with its sea, beaches and pine forests.
One of the most well-known values of Kandıra is the famous Kandıra Buffalo Yogurt. We recommend that you try it during your travels.

Yazlık Thermal Facilities is a healing source located in Yeniköy Center of Gölcük District of Kocaeli.
